JL amp question

The Memphis Audio M-Class is a nice speaker. I dont know how much mounting room you need but I do know it sounds good. and Memphis makes good amps. You could run your highs and lows off one amp. Its called the Mini Belle its got a 450.1 on one side and I believe a 300.4 on the other.
Dont quote me on that but I think thats what it has.

In some cars I would agree with you but in the case of our trucks I don't. When you run the fronts and rear together off a 2ch amp you cannot have different crossover settings for the small 4x6 in the rear vs the 6,5" in the front. That will usually mean you can't get optimum sounnd quality as you'll have to cross the 6.5" over higher than you would normall like to and you'll lose midbase response. ALSO you can't alter the volume between the 2 and you'll end up with too much sound coming form the rear and it could potentially ruin your staging up front..
So while yes, you can run it off a 2ch and have it loud, you wont have the best "sound quality" as if you ran 4 seperate channels.

I would look into a pre made wood box if you want to run a W3, I think you need at least 7" of mounting depth. All new JL subs have the VRC technolgy which has a cone that sticks out an extra inch requiring more mounting depth.
You may want to look into other subs to fit in the stealth box. The boxes work very well for what they are, premade composite boxes. There is a still much more to be had by using a custom box with more air space, but that cost more money.
My bro just had a custom box built under his back seat, all wood. Has 2 JL W3's with a 500/1, a bit underpowered if you ask me, but sounds nice. Come by the house and we can listen to both. Give me a call.
