i dont get why they put laser detector on these things though if your haulin *** and it goes off just go ahead and pull over and expect the worst. they dont use laser very often because its a pain but ive seen them use it before. the cop has to be stopped and pretty much out of the car to get the laser gun working right. radar is so much easier for them and their lazy

Ya its kind of hard to dunk your Doughnuts when your holding a laser gun in one hand and the pastry in the other!!!
All the cop stereo types are true!! My brother is one so I get all the skinny from him.

The newer radars will process the different speeds and pick up the fastest moving object.

I have a Passport 8500 cheaper than the V1 and better detection than the V1. My buddy has a V1 and we put it in the windshield right by my detector from AL back to TX and usually the 8500 went off a couple of seconds before the V1. The only thing I dont like about the 8500 is that it cant track multiple radars but then agian you only really need to worry about the strongest one that is near you. Laser "detectors" make me laugh Im going to get a laser jammer system soon. Also if you get the Passport 8500 they make a laser jammer setup that plugs into the 8500 thats the way to go IMO.

I have the I have a Passport 8500 X50 in all three cars and you can track up to 7 bogies. Go into the custom menu and change the meter from standard to expert. It will then light up for the amount of bogies, and a signal strength for each. The meter is vertical for each instead of horizontal.

The only thing the X50 doesn't do that the V1 does is tell you if they are in front, back or side of the car. I din't usually wait that long to slow down anyway so I'm ok with not having that opntion for the coin I save.
