Default Ipod and Stock stereo

I have an 03 Silverado with the built in 6 disc changer, just curious if anyone has hooked up their Ipod to it, to where all I really care for is the volume off my steering wheel, just tired of finding dead radio stations and I am comfortable with the stock clean look.

there is an adapter that plugs in to the back of the radio (not FM modulated) that can be controlled through the factory deck/ steering wheel controls. There's two versions, one even displays the song title on the headunit. It also charges your IPOD while connected, you just drop the cable to wherever you want the IPOD to sit (like in your glove box), doesn't matter where b/c you can control it through the radio. I believe the manufacturer is PAC, try searching on Google for "PAC IPOD Silverado"

The factory cd changer in an 03 is built into the head unit so I don't think it's functionality would be lost.

I've got this one but with a black ipod connector cable (bought at Fry's electronics for $99) and it's pretty decent.

I don't have the steering wheel controls on my truck, or the 6 disc changer but this plugs into the back of the stock deck where the changer would hook up. It doesn't show the song title, but that could be because of my stock deck I suppose. There are two versions of this, with a slightly different harness for the trucks with all the features like XM and stuff.

Besides that, you hook up a ground wire and tie into a power wire and you're set.

Sound quality is like a CD. Much better than the FM modulator I bought first.
