Default iPod interface with stock sound system

Is there a way to run a 20G iPod as a source of music on my '00 silverado? it has the premium sound system from the factory but is still stock. Is there some type of interface cable to hook this up and just run it off the aux setting? 5000 songs in an iPod would be way easier than carrying around my 2 notebooks of music and way cheaper considering I wouldnt have to buy CD's anymore... any help??

only way is through an RF modulator. Plug the ipod into it and it sends out an FM signal, tune to a certain channel and there are all 8 gazillion songs. Not the best quality but it works

I have my Ipod hardwired to the back of my factory radio on my 05 Silverado. I bought a "NEO-ION" adapter. It cost alot when I bought mine but it was one of the only ones out at the time. It works good. Better then CD quality sound. No skipping. It is louder and cleaner the using a CD.

you can also use the jlaudio clean sweep. it provides an aux input and it will be much clearer than a modulator. around $325. If you plan on adding on to your system later it would be a good investment

holy crap people, 325! try the PIE AUX adapter. I put it in my 01 along with a ipod charger and I'm golden. I've got pics if you need em. Here is the PIE site, just go to the application guide. I know logjamelectronics carries it. http://www.pie.net/index-2-4.cfm?rec...rdset2.apptype
