Default How would this sound?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to do a stereo set up in my HD.

I'm thinking of either one 10"w7 or 2 8" w3v3's.

This will be playing a variety of genera's but will be mostly heavy metal probably 85% of the time.

Would that sound alright or would it be too much bass?

Thanks
Kody

I think one 10" w7 would be perfect, all the bass you want when you want it, or turn the gain down when you just want it to complement, not overpower, the music.

What type of box would best suit my need? Sealed or ported?

With a W7, I would definitely go sealed. Sealed is going to be a smaller enclosure than ported and will be cleaner bass.

I know if I ran two 8 W7's I would have more bass but if I ran two 8's would I have better SQ over one 10"?

Yes, two 8" W7's would be better, but IMHO not worth the space and cost.

Ok just out of curiosity, sealed for sealed would the 10 W7 sound that much better than the two 8"w3v3's?

I'm just asking because I can get two W3's cheaper than one W7, I want to be sure it is worth it lol.

You have room for a 10" W7 under your back seat????
