How do I get off the trim bezel of Autometer Gauge?

Default How do I get off the trim bezel of Autometer Gauge?

I have a Autometer Nitrous Pressure Gauge, how do I get off the trim ring bezel? I am not very patient and do not want to break it lol

I tried to once and didn't get it off. Managed to put a nice dent in it with a pair of pliers though.

So there is no correct way to get the bezel off? I need to darken my cover and paint the bezel. I also want a different bulb, the one that came with it is the yellowish halogen color, Id like pure white or something. Where can I get one of those?
