Default HID problem

I bought a plug and play kit off ebay and hooked it up in the silverado. After getting them installed i cant get them to come on or do anything at all. Upon closer inspection my bulbs look burnt in the center where i think it supposed to arc the gap. my bulbs look blackish brown rite there and i cant decide if their burnt or not. If someone could describe their bulbs or straigten this mess out i would appreciate it. Does autozone or anybody like that carry bulbs anyway? thanks for any help

yep def. burnt, see if the seller will exchange them or give you your money back, you might check some of the major parts stores they usually have a large book the can order from if they dont carry it in stock.....at least yours doesnt work b/c you hit a dang deer last night

Have you taken the time to switch polarity to the ballasts yet?

Default polarity

i havent done anything but plug and dissapoint. i know nothing about htem but i have a friend that said to see if the ballast would even click and i couldnt ge that to happen. One of the things is what is the chances of this happening to both sides of the lights and how do you check for a good ballst and whatever else. Ive been trying to trouble shoot them because i hate waiting never the less my bulbs are still burnt

Go back to the ballast connections and try reversing the positive and negative wires. Im speaking of where the OEM headlight plugs hook up to the HID setup. The ballasts are polarity sensetive!! So if they are hooked up wrong, they will nto strike.

The Little bubble in the middle shouldnt have anything in it, no arc or anything... Like said above, your ballast are probably reversed...

nice close up. My bulbs are diffinatly darker in the bubble. So there burnt i guess. As far as the ballast goes i will run out in a second to try to switch it and get it too click. Question if my ballast were backwards would it have burnt the bulbs or perhaps there is a first time coating on them for start up. Im mainly trying to deny the fact that i have to wait a few weeks for bulbs. thanks for the help lets try it.
