help on shift light!
#2
hey i bought the proform light too. it is ALOT bigger in life than it looks in a magazine. i am going to assume a few things before i say this...
1. i ASSUME this is the dial operated shift light (no pills/modules)
2. i ASSUME your truck is a 99-2000 4.8/ 5.3/ 6.0
3. i ASSUME this is the same application as mine
take the power wire and find a 12v source with the ignition on (mine was a 12-14ga Green wire in fuse panel) then take the ground wire, ground it out to a good clean surface (to the left side of fuse panel was a nut securing the dash to fire wall.. worked great) and hook the ign wire to the white wire on tach cluster ( mine was tan, from the 4 yrs of smoking.) to ensure it is the right ing wire... you can take the plug off the PCM use PIN 10 and check continuity through to the plug on the instrument cluster. i did that, and it worked for ME. when all that is hooked up the 2 small wires on the light( they make a small loop) i believe they were orange and brown... cut them and cap them off so they dont short out on anything. dial it in and blind yourself.
anyone else got anything i forgot?
