help with my JL set up

Didn own the shop. Just worked it for 10yrs..

The JL amps where in my truck and I used Eclipse 88 Series subs which set the ohmload at 4ohm. At one point I took the subs out of my my T/A (Diamond Audio D6) and wanted to see what they sounded like in comparison and if the JL would handle the 1ohm load if I didnt play it hard and it didnt work. Rewired it from 1ohm to 4ohm and it worked perfectly fine. Tweaking with the equiptment is something a lot of guys do so they know what will and wont work in a customers car

do u guys know what difference will it be if u have a downfire or an upfiring box? i've been trying to play around with the 500/1 amp and can't figure out what a good setting i can leave it on. any tips?

firing up I have found that the roof rattles/shakes way too much, I like firing forward the best for excab trucks
