Default HELP!!! Autometer Trans Temp Gauge Reading Way Too High

I have an electrical trans temp gauge on a pillar in my truck. It is wired correctly but the gauge when connected never drops to the coolest setting. So from 100 - 250 with 180 being central. When the truck has been resting over night and you put the key in and turn it to the acc the gauge shoots up too 150 degrees immediately. During a 10 minute drive the gauge ( mixed city/hwy ) will pretty much move all the way too 250. Most guys see between 100- 180 with my set up below.

Fact:
05 Silverado 5.3
Circle D 3000/3200 Stall 278mm
Tru Cool 40k Cooler
4.30 gears
275/55/20 on stock 20s
The truck runs way too efficient to be turning that high of heat, and with the tru cool cooler I don't even see how it is possible to get that hot when I drive around like a 100 year old person trying to get to church 2 hours early on a Sunday morning

The sender is in the right location, The ground is close by, and the positive wire goes to a fuse which is on when the truck is on. The light is wired into the ground wire and the positive wire.

Any clue what is going on here? Any help will be appreciated! I am so sick of dealing with this truck as everything seems to be an issue lately!

I know for a fact that the trans isn't double the ambient temperature when it has been sitting over 8 hours in the shade.

Thanks In Advance

Try contacting autometer. I am always skeptical of electric gauges for this reason
