Default Gauge problems

While the engine is running, all the gauges and message center go dead and come back on 2 or 3 times then stay on. I was told that I will need a new cluster. is this true, or do I have other options? btw, this is on my 03 2500HD

Had the same thing happen to mine. You will more than likely need a new cluster.

I highly recommend Digital Dash Solutions or Speedometer Repair Service on eBay. Both are based out of Dayville, CT. They do excellent work, and are very reasonable on price. This would be a good time to upgrade to another style of gauge if there are any that you like better (SS, Denali, Escalade).

You might want to take it to the dealer. A buddy of mine had the same problem and they told him that GM had extended the warranty on the dash and they did it for free. Might be worth a shot.
