Default Full Size GM seats

I'm looking for a set of leather bucket seats to upgrade the cloth manual ones from my 2000 Reg. Cab Silverado. I keep seeing something about 03+ having different wiring(how different?). Anyone know the differences if any between Suburban/Tahoe, Yukon/XL, Sierra, Silverado seats, and which years are different?

Well if your cloth ones are manual then they dont have any wiring so that would be different from ones that are electric.....I guess I dont understand the question. If you want to put power seats in you will have to find a wiring schematic and put 12 volts where it needs to be and ground where it needs to be. If your just swaping out manual for manual then there is no wiring envolved except for the seat belt sensor on the drivers side.

I have manual and want to switch to Power. I am asking
If the 03 up power seat harness will plug into the connector
Under the drivers side dash just like the 99-02 does. I am
Going to get the seats and wire harness from a junk yard
I read somewhere 03+ changed the harness.

Ok gotcha. I dont know first hand but I would say since the styles did change between 02 and 03 it would be good to find one of the same style as ur truck. You might still be able to get the 03 one to work it just wont be plug and play and you would need a schematic to know what you need to hook up.

Yes, they will swap over, but the plugs won't be the same.

You can cut your 02 plug off and use it on your 03+ seats; however, the heated portion won't work.

Also, the leather seats (or possibly the newer seats as well) are a bit wider from front to back, and they are "taller" as well.

I had to rebuild my sub box, and move my amp from under the seat to behind it when I installed the 03 leathers in my 99 regular cab.
