this is exactly why I kept the factory head unit and invested in the JL audio clean sweep. Installed behind the glove box. Same performance as a good aftermarket head unit without the attraction to thieves. Maybe something to consider........

That is what i did also. I would be just asking for it if i put an aftermarket head unit in my truck. At my old job over a 3 month time everybody that worked there that had an aftermarket cd player had theirs stolen some twice. It didn't matter what time it was or if it was pouring down rain. They would just smash the window and steal even the shittiest stuff. I wonder how many times they looked into my window assuming the nice lowered truck had a cd player.

Sorry to hear they got ya bro hope you get it worked out.

That sucks ***! I've had that happen before, but they actually stole my car out of the parking lot. When they found my car the aholes kicked holes in my floors and spread cheese and cracker all over the seats, on top of the fact that they stole $1500 in audio equipment and other stuff too. I HATE THIEVES!!!

That's why when I bought my truck I immediately bought a pager alarm and had a back up battery installed so their screwed no matter what!

I feel your pain man. When they got into mine they broke out the pass side window and took my headunit, amp, subs, capacitor, and about 150 cds.... My dash looked exactly like yours did. They did it in BROAD DAYLIGHT too... fu*%$^g thieves..... And the best anti-theft that I have found is made by GLOCK, its called a 9mm!
