Default Factory stereo addition...mabey?

Ok so i am trying to add a amp and two subs to my factory bose stereo. i want to use the factory deck b/c of the xm and 6 disc in dash. i bought an rca adapter that u wire from the back of the deck that u tap into two of the speaker conections to get rca's. well i did it and when i turned it on i heard a pop and now i have this buzzing sound any time i turn on the radio and the rca'a still don't work.

questions....
1. ANybody do this and have the same result?
2.Anybody know exactly which wires i should of tapped into?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys!

03' GM trucks require more than just a simple Line Converter to hook up amps. One of the issues is the lack of a remote turn on lead so your converter either has to have one or you have to add one.

I hate the new GM stereos. They are such a pain in the ***!!!

i just tapped into the wires going to the one of the rear speakers after the bose amp
and used the high level inputs on my amp instead of rca's.

the bose amp these things use are junk, ypu be much better off using the pac audio oem converter box which gets its signal before the amp instead of after it....plus if your adding subs id disconnect the factory 6.5 inch sub thats in the consol so it doesnt interfier with ur new ones

I did this same install. I used the pac aoem-gm24. Somebody here had one for sale not to long ago. Worked great. I have mine in the dash behind the stereo. All went together pretty easily.
