Default Factory Bose

Anyone here not happy with the factory Bose? I've had my 05 sierra for a little over a month and am not impressed at all. Seems like it is lacking the high trebble sound, and thought it would be more crisp....
I've heard lots of good things about the factory bose.
Hows yours, and is there more then one type? Also where is the amp located??

Amp is in the bottom of the console.

Listen to a non-Bose equipped truck then you'll appreciate it. You can always upgrade to the delphi/Bose luxury amp out of the Escalade/Denali's

I think I may remove the door panels and check that the door speakers were not swapped with a different type of speaker. I've heard other non-bose stereos and they do not sound any different.

Has anyone removed there console? I may check the amp as well..

Thanks

I'm going to pull my console first, make sure the amp is there and it's hooked up. If it's all there, I may switch out my componets. Any idea how to remove the center console?

You have to remove both seats. The bracket for the console is under the seat brackets. Once you disconnect the harnesses/ cig lighters and instrument cluster bezel. it should come right out. Getting to the amp is kind of a pain in the ***. You pretty much have to dismantle most of the console to get to it.

I had a choice between my present Yukon and another Yukon that had the BOSE system. I listened to both and I couldnt tell any difference. They sounded totaly the same to me. I figured the bose would at least have more bass, but it didnt seem to.
