Im looking into adding a full center console to my 01' Ext. Cab but Im seeing several different kinds.

This one is a 99-02 console I believe, two piece design.



This is a 03-06?? Single piece design, much smoother and nicer appearing to me.



Here is an Escalade. Single piece, hidden compartments, nicer console lid.




I know they will all mount the same and to fit correctly need a glove box piece from a full console truck. Will I need the 03-06 dash bezel or anything else? Will the Escalade console fit the same as the Silverado console?

 

The denali, esky is not going to match your interior colors, like the others will.. IMO the 03-07 looks a ton better then the 02 and before. Also I think the color codes are even diff for the 03-07, 99-02..

Does your interior match the first console you posted the pic of?

 

probably does either way the 03-06 comes out with almost the same color

 

The 02 denali and 02 escalade will fit the same as the 99-02 silverado/tahoe consoles. No dash changes needed that i know of.

To use an 03 up denali/escalade/silverado console the glove box needs changed , i think the only difference in dash bezels is the double DIN opening.

So i guess either way you can find one or get a deal on one is the way to go, you make both styles work.

And to answer your question YES, the escalade console will fit the same as the silvaerado console.

The arm rest on the denali/escalade console is sooo much better looking.

My only concern and reason for not doing it, is that the console lid is so low compared to the jumpseat lid. Ill almost HAVE to swap out my seats for some captains chairs.

I had an 04 Z71, it came with the fold down jumpseat, i took it out and bought a console from an 05 Tahoe and glovebox. It fit fine with the seats , the only thing that was " missing" was the side arm rests that those seats didnt have, but it was no biggie, the position of the console arm rest with the Non - captain chair seats was fine, very comfortable.

Also i took out the factory bose sub and added a 6'' JL audio sub, with a small amp and it sounded good and was " hidden".
