Default DL8 Mirrors / Need info for Plug&Play on a 2000 Silverado

****EDIT I meant DL3 option mirrors*****

I got a nice set of DL3 turn signal/ power/ heat mirrors of my brothers 04' Silverado. Want to install them on my 00' and have the cool LED signal hehe!

I tried to plug them into my power miror control, but it only has one place to plug in, and the DL3 mirrors have 2 plugs, but niether one will plug in.

So Can i just get a power mirror switch from an 03 up silv.? And it will work?

Or do i also need BCM reprogram.

Or Am i totally wrong LOL

Thanks.

You are going to have to find the pin out for the 00 and the 03 mirrors and cut and splice. To get the mirrors to function. The switch assembly from the 03 will not work and is completely different from your truck.

To get the signals to work you are going to have to pull two wires through the door jamb and into the door on each side. One wire will be a ground the other wire will have to be tied into the turn signal switch at the correct wires that feed the front turn signals and not the rear. If you hook it up to the rear the arrows will illuminate when you step on the brake.
