Default Custom Valentine 1 Remote Display

I've had this setup since I installed the radar locator over a year ago, but haven't taken pictures until now.

Also, my disclaimer: I nicked the blanking plate a couple of times with the collet of the dremel tool, but I never went back and did it again. It's not really noticeable in the daylight, and not at all at night. The whole assembly is like $5 from a dealership, so no sweat if you screw it up like I did.

The GM part number for the blanking assembly is 15207877.

I have mine right on top of the steering column. But I like you spot, PLUS HUGE THANKS for that blank plate part #. But like grip asks...I need those lights in my face, I have come VERY accustomed to the sound.

Grippy, if you're asking does it pick up there, it's fine because I had the actual unit still on the windshield, this just keeps people from seeing the the red lights at night, etc. I guess.

Otherwise, it works great. I can mute the sounds by reaching over there, and it's pretty easy to read when you hear a sound.

It's just a "remote head". The radar detector stays in your window. There wire that powers it comes from the remote head which he has in his dash. All it really does is take the lights out of your window mostly so people at night don't see your radar detector. Nobody rides you on the highway and uses your radar detector.
