Custom Center Console and sub enclosure build
#11
inspired need help
I have been working on building a custom center console for the Sierra for the past few weeks. My truck came with the bench/jump seat, and I like the look of a console better so I figured why not make one.
This is my first console build, so I am open to some constructive criticism and if you have any ideas for it before getting it upholstered. I am gonna have it done professionally to match the factory leather and styling.
The console fits 2 10" subs downfiring, with about .5 cubic foot airspace per speaker. Probably could have squeezed a little more out of it if planned a little better but I kept changing my mind on what I was gonna do (ported, sealed, 1 sub, 2 subs, etc). It also has room to store an amp or two. I still need to cut in the storage tray on the lowest panel (towards the front of the console). No other storage is built in, though maybe a V2 is in the future since I have had some fun learning on this build.
The console mounts to the factory console brackets, and should be pretty solid when complete. Will hopefully get it to thee upholsterer in the next couple weeks. I have no idea how much something like that is gonna cost.
Let me know what y'all think.
