OK...my 1st post....i got a 06 gmc and i want to swap out the cluster with a 05 denali. i have switched them out but the miles go from 40K to 13k. Any one know where i can get the miles updated to match the truck or am i just **** outta luck?

 

have to take it to the dealer to get it reprogrammed for the correct milage

 

i called and they said they have to ship it off for the mileage, then when it comes back they have to program it to my truck??? i've put it in and it starts up and runs? why the extra program?

 

try another dealer because all they gotta do is flash it in..

 

Call a few dealers and see who they use to program them. I did this and got lucky and found someone local to program them. Other than the mileage (and I think hours on the 03+) nothing else has to be done. Worst case scenario, you will have to send it off and not drive the truck for about a week until it comes back programmed.
