It sounds like you might have faulty bulb trying installing a new bulb with bulb grease.

either that or the contacts in the socket could be spread out or faulty....since the truck is brand new it's covered under warranty.

I know I could take it into to the stealership but I dont want to lose my truck for 3 days when all I needed to do was dick with the connector, I have a real hard time trusting them.

on the newer vehicles.. ive noticed a lot of brake light failures... especially on their new cargo vans. I figured out that the stock sockets were no good... for some reason they were rusted and taking on water, so i had to silicone the area around the lights... on the vans the actual plastic that the lights sit in doesnt come out... so i was able to do the silicon thing.

Check and see if there is any rust on the socket or bulb... if you took it to the dealership, i would hope by now they are noticing that its just the socket.. they should be able to do that for you in a matter of 25 mintues... but i understand the whole not trusting them.
