Yes, use MDF on the back wall but don't screw it use liquid nails and you don't have to go cravy with it just a little bit all you need is holes in the back side of your cab.

I never thought to take pictures of my system until this forum, but if need be I will take some to get you in the right direction or just PM me.
I prefer the screw method as I may want to or need to upgrade my board to adapt for MORE components and the liquid nails idea is very difficult to remove without leaving residue/mess.

I've got pics of my amp install on my cardomain page (click link below sig). My rack is held up with 14 industrial strength strips of velcro, so I can take it out if need be. Haven't had a problem with it for 2+ years, and I didn't have to screw through the back wall. Take your power wire straight to the battery, don't go through the accessory terminal. If you want some help and feel like coming down to Phoenix I'd be willing to help you out

im getting ready to do my install and im just wondering what is the size back there? Like length, Width and maximum depth i can go. I want all my wire hidden so I am wanting to place the regular board like you all have on the wall then have another peice to screw my amp, tuner, Hide away unite etc. to. it would almost look like this.

You have plenty of room back for just about any size amp to be totally honest with you.

However there are many of ways to make or buy a box to put your subs in so that should be your hardest decision.
