Amp Mount location on 01 Silverado Extended Cab
#11
Here's mine. I also raised the rear seat about a 1/2 inch with some spacers so I didn't have to cut as much off the tabs and I can return it to stock later if I choose. There is also a cable Y strap that bolts to the center of the seat and the floor of the cab that needs to be removed to get the seat to fold forward. For mounting I covered a piece of plywood with some material that matches my interior and screwed that to my cab. Then I screwed the amps to the plywood. I have also heard of people using liquid nails to mount the plywood to avoid putting holes in the cab.

The cable looks like this:

and this is one of the tabs it bolts to on the seat. You have to be careful not to mount your amps directly behind these or they will scratch the amp when the seat is folded back unless you remove them. That big nut on the bottom where my grounds are connected is where that y bolts to the floor.

You should see the crappy speakers under my rear seat that one of those amps powers. Actually I got the Kenwood on the right for free and the Alpine on the left from ebay. One of these days I will find or build a decent box to put a good single sub under my seat.
