Default amp kit

just wondering what guage amp kit i need. I just bought this:

http://www.drdetailshop.com/vd2500.1.htm

but the subs i am running are two 10" black gold series so i wont ever run the amp anywhere near the full gain. Anything else i would need to upgrade like get a spare battery, capacitor, or new alternator?

Sorry bro, but that amp will prob only put out like 55-60% of the watts they say it puts out. 2500x1 @ 2 ohms, more like 600x1 @2 ohms. Get a Stinger 4 gauge kit.

You want a good amp that really puts out 800 watts @ 2 ohms, get the Audiobahn A8000T or A8000V(same amp) the only good Audiobahn amp. I got my A8000V for $140.

no you have no idea what your talking about, that amp is guaranteed to put out atleast 2400 RMS watts at 2 ohms, you guys prolly havent heard of viper but theyre a decent brand, they dont overrate their amps like crap companies like hifonics.
PS: Get atleast 1/0 gauge wiring and atleast a yellow top, that amp pulls alot of current, and also to the other guy, dont go recommending audiobling and talkin trash about decent amps, audiobahn sucks

youll either need an extra battery or upgrade your alt to atleast a 200 amper. Im getting a kicker kx2500.1 to replace kx1200.1 and ive already got a yellowtop under the hood, big 3 wiring under the hood in 0 gauge and 0 gauge to my amps. I could possibly run it like that with just the battery and my stock 145 amp alt, but its best not to, these 2.5kw amps pull alot of current and its best to supply them with it, so im also gonna get a 240 amp alt.
