Amp blowing fuses
#12
ya just all of the sudden it quit working but it was like 2 weeks after i got an optima redtop so i checked the fuses and they were blown. Put new ones in and it blew those, so I tried messing with my stereo and amp settings and it blew 2 more sets. i think the RCA cable got pinched or something.

Man when i had that problem I had the power plugged into the negative and the negative plugged into power terminals on the amp.
Hey but the power and ground cables were the same color so Im not that dumb
Man I dont really know what to tell you rty what fatal said cause you could have a short in a speaker or something causing it but and rca I dont believe would cause that. It would ahve to be cut and sending power down both terminals to the amp and even then I dont believe it would do that.

IDK either but my only guess is that its the RCA's....or the remote.....who knows

rca's or the remote will not cause your amp to blow fuses.
once an amp has been hooked up backwards..... it's toast. it will blow the fuses but it's too late. even switching wires, it will continue to blow fuses. since you got a new amp, and it does the same thing.... i'd triple check the + and - to make sure they're not mixed up.
but you said it played for a couple weeks and then went bad? put an ohm meter on the speaker wires at the amp. could be a short. and a bad speaker can also be the source of a short.
