Default Alternator Question

Hi all, I just installed a set of LS1 efans. When they kick on the voltage dips. I can get a 160 amp alt pretty cheap. Will the 160 amp alt. fit inplace of the 105 amp alt.

The 160 has a two pin connector if I remember right. So the 145 for my truck was the highest i could go. So I am pretty sure it won't fit yours.

I got a 200 amp from NAPA, it cost a pretty penny, but comes with a lifetime warranty when used in a gas vehicle, KEEP THE RECEIPT. It was a direct replacement for my 105A.

I'll PM you another place that I would have bought mine from had I of known about them prior to getting my napa alternator.

There are many companies that make large alts for all vehicles. Just to name a few is Ohio Generator, Mechman Alternators, XS Power, Iraggi just to name a few. These company seel all different sizers for any vehicle and connector. I am in the process of switching out my 130 amp for a 250 or 300 amp for stereo purposes. If you need any other info feel free to pm me.
