alternator amps?

how many volts does your alternator put out?
i just upgraded my alt. wire to 0ga. and it does about 14.7 volts goin down the road, is this too much? with everything on (a/c, stereo, headlights, etc.) it still puts out around 14.4 to 14.5......TIA

ok your label is off..
you asked amps but explain voltage..
but anyway yes that is good thats what my tahoe alt puts out..i have the big three uprade tahoe alt and yellow top.
also puts out 160 peak amps. funny thing is that its only rated at 130.

110a at idle, 200a at 1600 rpm's. Does what I need it to do. I'm only pushing 1500 watts RMS, so I don't have a terrible voltage drop. With my stock alt, voltage dropped sometimes while sitting in gear, DEFINITELY with the AC on. Since I've upgraded, I have yet to see a voltage drop.

You're talking about the wire that goes from the little red box to the B+ terminal of the alternator correct? Just curious, did you put an inline fuse in that wire? From what I've read, the factory B+ wire also serves as a fusible link for circuit protection in case of overcharging/excessive current...something to consider...
