i installed a alarm wiht remote start the other day. i used the GM-SL or something module that goes to the purple wire on the OBD2 that controlled my lights and locks.

i have two problems. 1. my remote start does not work. when i activate it, it cranks the car for a a second then sounds like its just about to start, but stops.

2. since my interior lights are delayed turning off, it sets the alarm off when i lock the doors.

do i need a another module to disable the stock security system? in the manual for the module i have now it says it does passlock? am i suspose to hook up another wire other than the purple one in the OBD2 connector? or get a tune?

how is your remote start hooked up? i also didn't use the factory arm/disarm wires

 

i found in my instructions it says how to have the alarm learn the dome light delay. ill try to get that working.

but the remote start still doesn't work. im thinking its the passlock. the GMSL module says it works with pass lock. how do i get it to disable it?
