Default Aftermarket Tachometer??

I don't hear or see much about aftermarket tachometers and I'm wondering what people are running. Seems like it would be a good idea for me to get a reliable tach that reads over 6k.

Does it make sense to get one that logs?

What brand do you like?

I'd rather just put in a shift light. Takes up less space. Whaddaya think?

In Summit's catalog I've been looking at the Proform shift light. No pills to put in.. has an adjustable dial. $49.88. I figure that I don't have time to watch the tach and it moves so quickly that I cant tell EXACTLY when to shift so a light is necessary. In addition, come to think of it, my Innovate guages have built in tachs and logging. Well sheeit.... all I need is the light and I'm good to go.

Sorry for the unnecessary thread. Is there a smiley for embarrased?.. how about one for dumb ****?
