Does anybody know of a navigation deck that fits cleanly in a 2000 Sierra/Silverado? The few I have seen, appear to be to "tall"...I would like to do as little of custom fabrication as possible. Thanks, happy Memorial Day weekend!

 

Take a look at this thread that I did a while back https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=479570. This is for a double DIN installation though, which does not meet you criterion of easy and minimum fabrication. The alternative (which I considered myself) would be to install a smaller single DIN unit within a frame to go down from your present 1.5 DIN unit. The problem with the single DIN unit, in my opinion, is tha the screen flip up mechanism is fairly complex and would likely be trouble-prone in the future.

I went to the junkyard and got a bucket and dash bezel out of an '03 and swapped them in. I used the '03 fit kit and my Double Din Alpine it looks like it came in there from the factory. Only problem I have is my ashtray dosent open anymore.
