I run the LT1 e-fans from the caprice cop cars with the alt from my 98 Z-71 havn't had any problems with the wiring. Just want to put dual batteries on the truck now since the volts go pretty low at night with the stereo, a/c , and e-fans on I think the Z-71 have a 140 amp alt also

My 145 amp Denali alt plugged right in...from what I've read the wiring is the same guage also. I'm using my factory wiring with no problems so far.

A couple of guys have done efans with the factory 105 amp alt...I know that tdrumm has 05 efans and still has the stock alt with no problems.

If you don't have any other large electrical draws other than the fans, you'll probably be fine using the stock wire. If you have any aftermarket amps or anything you might want to consider upgrading the "Big 3" wires. Alternator to battery positive, battery ground to chassis ground, and engine block to chassis ground.

I have a 145 amp Denali alt with 1500 rms watts from amps, 05 efans, and Denali head lights. Stock wires and have had no problems. The wires have no hard spot in them. Its been over a year. I have thought about upgrading them, but haven't seen an signs of needing to. Just keep a close eye on them and if they start to get hard it means you need to upgrade them.

105 amp 13/16" x 92 7/8"
145 amp 13/16" x 93 5/8"
=3/4 longer
Some people said the were able to get the original one on. I try, but couldn't get it on. If you were able to get it on I think it would wear a bushing or a bearing out.
