12v source for radar?

Default 12v source for radar?

i want to hardwire my radar detector in my 02 silverado to a power source that turns on and off with the ignition, ( soo i dont have to turn on my radar detector by hand every day ) could someone tell me where i should wire this to?

There is a fuse panel on the driver side of the dashboard. There is a fuse for option accessories. I just stuck the wire in there with the fuse. On the protected side of course. I would definitely use an accessory fuse. DO NOT use an ignition fuse.

i would just solder it to the pink ignition wire in the ignition harness.....make shure you put an inline fuse on the wire and youll be good to go and it will be a better conection than wraping it around a fuse.....

If you place it high on the windshield I've considered splicing it in to the hotwire on the mirror.

just bring the Liner down a bit and tuck it up under it so you don't see the splice. Should look great.

I've had mine ran basically the same way but had it spliced into the hot wire for the lights. The radar stays on all the time so I assume that wouldn't be relevant for you.
