i have a 2008 escalade and i want to have the light from under the mirror on at all times has anyone done this to any model truck.
i believe the light is used to help you avoid puddles and help you guide your step onto the truck. any info would help.

 

Around here you would get a ticket for driving with that light on. I'm not too sure how you'd get it to stay on while driving without also having your dome lights on.

 

i was thinking you could wire the light directly
