So whats your question whats the correct part number of the nav unit or how to unlock it.

To unlock it you have to take it to a dealer and they reflash it for nav operation and you are good to go.

also found this IF YOUR GM DEALERSHIP HAS PROBLEMS REMOVING THE THEFT LOCK PLEASE SHOW THEM THIS PAPER

Subject:
Radio Displays Locked Or Theft Lock - keywords inoperative loc no sound speaker colume #PIT4007A - (02/28/2007)

Models:
2007+ Cadillac Escalade, ESV, EXT
2007+ Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe
2007+ GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali XL

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:
The radio theft deterrent system disables functionality if the VIN information received by the radio does not match the vehicle VIN information. The radio receives the vehicle VIN information through GMLAN. If a radio is replaced or swapped from another vehicle the radio will need to relearn the VIN information from the vehicle before it will function. If the VIN information of the vehicle does not match the learned VIN information in the radio, it will display "LOCKED" or "THEFT LOCK".

Recommendation/Instructions:
Currently, performing the radio setup in SI (Document ID # 1745049) will not learn the vehicles VIN information to the new radio. Engineering is aware of this and working on a correction.
A temporary solution is to perform the radio setup in SI (Document ID# 1745049), as well as, perform a VIN relearn. To perform the VIN relearn, build the Tech 2 as follows:

F0: Diagnostics
2006
Passenger Car
(1) Chevrolet
W
WN Monte Carlo LTZ
F6: Body and Accessories
Entertainment
F5: Module Setup
F0: Radio
F0: VIN Relearn
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

and when the tech got to the f5 module setup it was not an option. I am not able to spend 3800 on the part number that they are telling me to buy there has to be another option I just need to find the right person

If the radio is already installed they just plug into TIS and tell it that it's a nav radio and flash it. All of the correct information is then downloaded into the radio along with VIN info it's a simple process.

I've never had problems with it. You have a idiot dealer tech trying it. Tell him to call the TAC center and they can hold his hand and walk him through it

If the radio is not already installed then install it and take it to them andthen tell them to flash it nothing else to it.

i appreciate you takin the time to reply. its installed in the truck. I asked him to call gm or whoever he needed to and he was like oh there going to just tell me to have you buy the correct part number. what is tis is this something that he will know about. Are you willing to let me call you while im at this cadillac dealership I would be willing to pay you to walk this guy through this if need be. At this point Im thinking if that does not work there is a company on ebay that charges 100 to remove the theftlock. I cant stand the thought to have to continue riding in this brand new to me truck listing to my iphone for another week. thanks in advance
