Default 01 Suburban power window problems

This is my neighbors truck and he has been having a lot of issues with the drivers power window. He had someone replace the window regulator and motor about 2 months ago but now it is on the fritz again. It got stuck in the down position last week so I just cut about 6 ft of wire and stripped some of the insulation from the existing wiring and tripped the motor from one of the fuses that was 12v on ignition. That got the window up so his burban didnt get waterlogged. After that the window and switch seemed to operate fine. Yesterday it got stuck down and it sounds like the motor is seized. I tried the same thing but it did not work. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
