Hey guys when i got my truck the gas gauge didnt work at all but i did fill up and it read about a 1/4 tank so i replaced the sending unit and was excited because the gauge read almost full
So a week or so passes and letting the truck warm up and it sputters and runs out of gas and the gauge is reading half full any body had a similar issue ? My truck has dual walbros i think maybe the previous owner messed up the float ?
It will go below half tank but not much before running out of gas
Any ideas

Did you replace all the wires with the new pump ? my work for 2 months after i switch sending unit and fuel pump, i have to pull it all out again and it was the wiring

 

What does the bucket look like? Was it all cut up, or will it hold fuel still, and keep the pumps submersed?
