Help me with Hi-Flo Cats???
Hello,
Just got a new QC SRT10 and really love the truck. I plan on keeping the truck stock for a couple of reasons...unforeseen future warranty issues and resale value years from now. With that being said, I sold my old truck and took off of all of my accessories one being a set of very expensive high quality stainless steel polished 3" Hi-Flo cats that are street legal. Question is do you think it is worth it to install just these Hi-Flo cats only with no other supporting mods? Others on these SRT10 forums have recommended that I go with a PCM reflash only & no other mods if I am concerned about adding bolt on parts that may not add much horsepower and take away the stock parts & components on the truck. So here is my dilema keeping in mind I would like to keep the truck stock but on the other hand I have these $600 hi-Flo cats sitting in the garage. I have young children in the truck with me so and talking on the hands free Bluetooth setup so I do NOT want to change to headers, cat back systems, or aftermarket mufflers as I honestly like the truck quiet not having to talk over the kids and repeating everything three times due to drone. Help me out with some feedback...based on my concerns which would number would you choose?
1. Keep the truck stock for warranty concerns...don't change anything.
2. Install the H-Flo cats, keep the OEM cats for the future if needed and don't do any other mods for warranty concerns. If I choose #2, will I get any HP gains if I don't do any other mods like a PCM reflash or custom exhaust?
3. Install the H-Flo cats, keep the OEM cats for the future if needed and consider a mild PCM reflash and leave the rest of the truck alone. If I choose #3, has any body ever had warranty claims denied for adding just Hi-Flo cats and/or a PCM reflash?
Thanks in advance for the advice.
Thanks!!!

Replace the front cats with Hi-flows and lose the rear cats. That will help out a lot. For the PCM get a whole new PCM. Then if you have any warranty issues or you want to tow then just put your stock PCM back in.
