I am not trying to 
on your thread, but I am curious.
What is the difference in your intercooler and something from like CXracing?
I mean $900 versus about $300 for intercooler and piping seems like a very big difference for just a custom fit kit.

Conservatively I wouldn't go to the 4" unless well past 800hp.
5" until past 1500.
Adding meth injection changes everything.
The thickness adds a good amount if flow area.
These cores
3"- 69
4"- 92
5"- 115
Give you an example current 99-07 standard cores
3"-33
4"-44
Year 08-13
3"- 36
4"- 48

All my oversea customer demand large front mount intercoolers
But the outside air temps are 114+ on a mild day.

We understand these cores don't fit everyone's builds. That's ok.
We take great pride in building the best parts for these trucks we can.
These intercoolers are no exception.
We designed these cores to be the largest cores you can fit in these trucks.
2x as large as other cores on the market. And that's the 3" core.
There are four mounting brackets holding these units in place.
Two are mounted hi to the hood latch area.
Two are mounted to the lower core support.
All the aluminum pipes are cut to length and bead rolled. No need to buy extra piping that don't come in universal kits.
All silicone couplers are 5 ply and black for a clean factory look.
The silicones are matched to the application.
So if your using a 2.5,3.0,4.0 compressor discharge, we will swap the coupler and clamp to match. No extra charge to you.
Kits are set up for mass air meter. No need to buy other silicones or pay freight back n forth while you figure out what sizes work.
If you run speed density: no problem. Just tell us so we can swap couplers around and extend the tubing to the proper length. SD kits also gets an air temp bung welded in. No extra charge. No running around town
To find a welder to take care of this.
SS tbolt clamps are matched to the couplers.
BOV is a compact 50mm design with the flange already welded in place.

Large core will not hender spool rate. Unless theres a slow spool rate already.
Conservatively I wouldn't go to the 4" unless well past 800hp.
5" until past 1500.

Yes but only if you need it. Running 10-12 psi on older set ups the intercoolers that went out with kits are fine. Pushing 18+ these larger cores will be an improvement. The older bumper mount cores worked but weren't in the direct air flow like these are.

think yours is behind the grill so your cooling is better then the older ones. It will help if your boost is hi and air temps are hi.
