Hello, your factory 8.6 bearings will fit the Truetrac with no problem. The 1998-older 8.5's require special bearings. The 8.6 bearings are pn: LM603049 (bearing) and LM603012 (race).

Thanks, Ron

Thanks, Ron
Honestly I am looking for a complete rearend. whats the bigger 14 bolt? 9.5 vs 10.5 not sure? Curious of cost of a bolt into my truck and use my factory disc brakes. What about axle size differences etc I would like to buy a rear that will last and to me if i go over kill then less for me to worry about. Is that something you guys can do?

Well, we don't get into the housings, brakes, and stuff like that. We only work with the internal parts. I would recommend getting a 9.5 out of a 1500HD. The 10.5 is a full floater and will require 8 lug wheels, not a direct swap.

Ron,

Any chance of a group purchase deal on say True Tracs, or even a gear and posi package? I bet a lot of members here would be quite interested in something like that.

None of them are a direct swap hence the reason i want one built.

Doesn't the ss come with the 9.5" 6 lug 14 bolt. My 1500 hd has the 9.5" 8 lug. Not sure on the 6 lug though.

Glad you're here as well Ron. I bought some 4.88's and install kits a few months back. You got me that seal for the front 9.25 as well that I ruined. Anyway, it's been running great.

I've never used the US gear before, so I was a little worried about whining. Threw them in and mashed it from go, that's just how I roll.lol About 5k miles later and not a peep. I run it pretty hard most times as well.

Anyway, just another happy customer. Wanted to let those who don't know, know. Ron has great service....

May be interested in a group buy as well. I was about to ask if RMS offers discounts to members?
