Wow....I feel like I have a whole new truck after installing the Ultra Torque cam with the 1.8 roller rockers/dual spring/pushrod package. Thank you! And very friendly on the phone. I am very happy with everything.
For anyone who is wondering whether the additional $$ for the rocker kit is worth it....the answer is yes.

I've talked to Roger @ Vinci, they seem like a good group of guys. I was wondering why the Ultra TQ and not the Trucker? I have a similar set-up as you and was told I would want the Trucker over the Ultra TQ. Don't remember why...Maybe the weight difference in our trucks? How did it feel after install, could you tell it in the seat of the pants?

I wanted the Trucker originally, but I tow and have the stock stall, so they recommended the Ultra Torque. If you look at the power band, the Trucker is 2000 to 6200 where the Ultra Torque is 1500-5800. I don't know performance differences, I know the Trucker is stronger up top but you lose some down low, and I couldn't do that.
And yes, I could definitely feel a SOTP difference. I did the cam and springs one day and drove around with the stock rockers, and that put a smile on my face. Then I did the rockers a couple days later, and it put a bigger smile on my face. It was cool to feel the difference that the rockers alone made.

I'm far away...AZ...so I did the work myself. It really wasn't that difficult, but was time consuming because I had never done one before. Probably a total of 22 hours of work or so. I'm sure I could do it much faster now that I have done it once. They cut me a great deal, I think it's ok to post pricing since they are a sponsor, but mods can delete it if not...I was right at $1500 for everything. I got:
Cam
Springs/retainers/seats
Rockers
Pushrods
Valve spring tool
Compressor fitting for pressurizing cylinders
If you price them out individually from their website they are much more expensive. I really enjoyed working with them...very helpful. I would definitely do it again.

The guys at Vinci are definitely stand up, nice guys. They know their stuff, and are absolutely willing to help you out. They've done me right every time I've talked to them, even when it meant I gave money to someone other than them... That's an excellent testimony to their character.
BTW, for those of you wanting to know prices, just give 'em a call or drop by. They will give you the straight poop the first time, and you can walk away knowing the job was done right.
For those of you that care about such things (or think it's a good quality check as I have come to) Vinci's shop is immaculate -- I'd have no problem sitting on the floor of their shop and eating my lunch...

Vinci has a great organization...way under-rated IMO. I've been in touch with them before and the customer service is excellent...not to mention their products really seem to work. They seem to fly by under the radar making great power, especially for daily drivers looking for the best of both worlds.
