I don't think he even has the STS kit. They used his ride to make a prototype from what i gather and it didn't work out.

Why won't STS replace the engine? Their insurance should cover it. Maybe he signed something. It would be nice to know what exactly took place here, otherwise there is going to be a lot of speculation.

Yes i read the post to the other site from that link before it was edited for moderation.
He went to STS gave them $6000.00 up front to make him a sts kit that would work on the TBSS.They took his cash and started on the project.
Would have been the first one of it's kind for that ride.
During the test of the sts they blew up his motor. They told him that the motor was replaced with a brand new one.
He had everything checked out and it infact was not a new motor like they said.Instead it was a rebuilt motor.Basically they took his and rebuilt it.Only thing is they should have gotten a new block because the one they blew was badly damaged and isn't a safe engine anymore because of extensive damage.
They basically got it back together with the least amount of effort as they could.
Now they won't refund his orginal money for a kit that he is not safe for him or he doesn't have. They never claified that part in the other thread.
They also will not do anything farther for his motor which has been deemed by GM techs to be a crap motor at this point.
He also said he never signed anything with them and will be getting a lawyer to settle this for him.

Yes, thats some pretty bad PR for STS. Sorry about your ride. I think you should get a lawyer at this point regardless of what they promise to do. And dont buy a replacement motor until you get an attorney. Replacing the motor yourself can be seen as an admission of fault on your part and strengthen STS's case in court.Good luck

Try more like $12,000! Which they refuse to refund! Off to the lawyer in the AM.

If this is all fact. STS screwed up BIG time. EVERYONE knows customer service is very important in this biz, Especially with the fact not everyone buys in to the whole rear mount idea. I wish you good luck, and I'm sorry to hear about it......
I wish Shade still worked there.......lol

As was said in the other thread, the stuff about what STS did or didn't do should be in the Sponsor Feedback section by the OP. I know what was posted here was done trying to help the OP, but he was a mechanism to address his concerns personally directly on this forum. Please don't post second hand info, let the OP do so in the correct manner.

Back on topic please
