my dad was a muscle car junky back in the day. before he died in august he had turned into a civic driver and hated everything about muscle. everytime i mentioned building up a car with him (him toting the price tag) he gave me all sorts of reasons not to ruin a good car. i have ruined two vehicles so far doing what he told me not to do. my z28 and my truck. pops must have been right. then again, i'm still having fun. so who gives a ****. if you pay for it, go for it. if he pays for it, then you better blow him.

My dad has always been interested in the work I do to my truck and Camaro. He's the reason why I have an interest in cars today anyways. I've got some significant plans for my truck in the future and I know he will understand. I could be doing drugs and **** like that as a "hobby" but I choose cars/trucks as my "high".

My dad drives his vehicles like a normal person. But knows how i drive and what im doing performance wise to my vehicles. he hates it like most (not all) parents do.

My grandaddy on the other hand is like a teenager.

I moved from my parents house just so i could mod my truck..
and live closer to work. haha

My mom rode with me one time, i hammered on it gettin on the interstate and broke the tires loose at 30mph. She just looked at me funny and asked what i had done.
I just smiled and said not much.
Then after the stall, built tranny, eaton LSD, little more tuning, and gutted cats. She kindof had a small laugh the next time i hammered on it. My dad just shook his head.

Hey im gettin 3-4mpg better than when she used to drive it, so she cant say nothing.
My brother always tried to make stuff fast, never worked, he didnt have the patience.

I raced my truck when it was stock to my brothers 2000 RCSB Z71 5.3 3.73s. and got 2 lengths on him before the 1/4. haha.

My dad used to tell me stories about his Mustang fastback and all this stuff. used to say it was fun to drive and it would spin a tire when he started off.... I just started laughing, he knows why the rear tires on my truck wear faster than the fronts.

Some how my mom knew about the truck cutting off at 98mph when she had it. We had an emergancy and well the speedo just kept goin past 100..... haha, she asked how i did that.
"Oh i just changed a few things."

Now everytime somebody says something about racing, they always got to bring up me and my truck. never fails either, my parents or somebody is around and they come talk to me.

Beau, i would hate to be in your shoes brother!
I hope you get the vibration sorted out!!!
If i lived closer i would try help ya out.

my parents are like urs they hate it, but im hard headed and theyve come to grips with it. when u get the "uve definitely got a hell of a project truck" comment from the pops u know he's starting to ease up. I own my own trucking website, so they know im kinda planning on going deep. They always ask what's that(pointing to our sponsors) and i grin and say oh he's a custom tuner. they dont know what the hell taht is lmao for all they know i could be talking about AM radio.

Hey Beau,
Didn't you have a Cam party at your house a while back? How did you get that past your Dad?
