man its a pain in the *** doing the heads, spent over 3.5 hours sanding on the block surface to get it cleaned, same as yesterday for the driverside,

you will see when the time comes lance.

I don't know if it's because of it, but I sure regret in doin' the millin on mine............

Months ago I had posted here about my second broken timing chain and bent valves, and I decided to do that while the heads were out.........:30' mill and mild pocket port.
Before this my trap speeds at hot weather were easily 106.highs, the highest that I had trapped was 106.998...almost 107.
Now, I'm barely trapping at 106's. My best so far has been a 106.058 and the other times have been 105.xx, including some 104's .............in cold weather so I am kind of dissappointed in that. Maybe you guys will think I'm wrong cuz logically it should help, but that's all I have done diffrent to her and well.......I sure regret in doing it.
It's not that I wanna break your bubble, Kev, but it's just something to think about.

Compression is going to help torque and overall power. I cant see it making a result of loosing MPH.

Tell that to my truck...............

Also I forgot to mention.....the trap speeds from before were done with stock exhaust pipe, a single in-single out borla, and shorty headman headers.
Now it has Pacesetter Long Tubes with whole 3 inch exhaust pipe.
I never wanted long-tubes for the room it takes when working on the tranny but I had to put em cuz of the pocket port, the shorty's exhaust tube were smaller than the port and the long-tubes were the perfect hole to hole fit.

Two things I noticed right away with heads milled: Trapped less mph and Highway 10mpg!
