I'm building a 5.3 bored to a 5.7 in my spare time . . .

I have a 6.0 short block with no pistons in it . . . it's an 01-02 block with LS2 rods.

how skinny is the budget ?

sold the truck a couple months back, looking into getting a 01-02 silverado or sierra.

Tootall- the limit is maybe 2000. Im planning on getting a used high mileage ext cab for about 6,000-8,000 but taking out a 10K loan so i can have some money left over to play with for new engine, trans, etc.

the one that I'm doing right now has all new parts. The block (from V8's back yard) and the crank are the only used parts.

I took his rusty azz 5.3 block to a machine shop had all the work done, got them to order all the parts, and I'm doing the assembly work. His bill was a little under 2K.

send me a PM if that's something that you're looking for.
I also have a bare 02 6.0 block with crank/rods, no pistons.
