I once called Comp to get a suggestion on a cam, and when I told the guy I was going to be running a 3000 stall speed converter he replied with, "On the street in a truck?!? You'll burn up your trans by the time you're halfway down the block".

I thanked him for his time and hung up.

They told me that I needed a new radiator hose b/c the one that I have is too swollen. I just put the hose in 2 months previous. Idiot, stock radiator hose from your own parts department. Try again.

I used to own a 01 mustang 5.3 swap eBay gt45 turbo, took it to the local ford dealership for laughs told them to change the oil. I lefted they called me 10 min later asking what motor it was and I said its a 5.3 from a 02 Tahoe, the woman argued with me saying it was no way,and ended up telling me to come get it or it was gonna be towed

Whenever I step foot on a dealer lot I beat the salesmen to the punch...

him - "can I help ya?"

me - "yup, I need 4 of those trucks for my business... I'll pay cash" *as I reach into my pocket*

him - "now you're just b.s.'n me..." *while smirking*

me - "well, I thought I'd go first this time"

I on the other hand just call it a 325ci.
I think the reason is most "older" people still use cubic inches as call outs instaed of RPOs or Liters of displacement. A 327 is something they know and are use to saying. I just don't argue it anymore when people say it at my counter.
