Default It went "Ka Punk"

Goin over to my friends house to eat supper last night and i was tryin to figure out what my timing is so i can start tuning it. well on the 1-2 shift the transmission went Ka Punk....... and some other noises that go along with metal on metal..
So i pull over as quick as i can and hop out with my flash light, everything seems to be ok under the truck.. nothing hanging or pouring fluid.

Well im cluesless,,,, at first i thought it was the driveshaft? but it was still intact,
So i limp it home very slowly. and i mean very slow. get home and pull the rear tires and brakes off cause it felt like the brakes were dragging really bad.

oh and it wouldnt go in reverse when i got home... it would but onlything it would do is rev up a little but felt like the brakes where locked or the rear end was in a bind...

Brakes were fine.....
Pull the drive shaft off and well i only get the second peice off. the first section is stuck in the tail shaft housing...
We yank on it and do everything except gettin the hammer.
Finally we got a strap and tied it in the UJoint and hook the 4wheeler winch to it.
It didnt take much at all, but its ugly....

The output shaft isnt broken but its sticking out of the transmission looks kindof like this \

So out comes the transmission today.... oh what fun...

I get off work at 3:30pm.... ill have the transmission out by 4pm... sad that it only takes me that long to pull the freaking thing...

Hardest part is taking the exhaust off and turning the engine to get ahold to the TC bolts...
