Default Upgrade for the truck!

I have been checking around and have been told the options to upgrade my truck from stock pretty much to something worth showing off here and there.

I talk to a few guys on here about getting a PCM tune for my truck and understood it, but I don't want to get that and still want more. So I would like to see if getting some actual engine mods done would help and still keep it a daily driver.

I was wondering about getting a Cam installed and a Torque Converter installed. But have no clue on how to go about putting one of those in my truck. Does anyone know of some shops around or any of yall know how to get these things accomplished?

And how long would it take and does it hurt gas mileage when doing these couple changes? Just wanting to get some ideas flowing here to see if it's something I can actually have done or be stuck with just what I got. Thanks.

I know Nelson Performance does the work you're looking into. http://www.nelsonperformance.com/

Check out that site and give them a call. He installed my cam, tuned my PCM and installed my motor in my other truck. Even if you don't get him to do the work, I'm sure he can direct you to someone closer to you.

it will hurt your gas milage, but you would pick up about 1.5 seconds with cam, converter, tune

if your looking for better gas milage with performance get elect. fans get rid of the flowmaster muffs they sound good but hurt the overall flow of exhaust
