If too much light gets to the beer it will add a skunky flavor to the beer. That was in a clear bottle therefore light gets to it easily. Thats my guess. This is the same reason i wont drink a beer that comes in a green or clear bottle. It tastes like ***. If I want a German beer, ill go to the pub and get it on tap. Its usually better on tap anyway.
