I am possibly moving to Tampa in a few months. I'm not sure what there is to do down there, but I'm sure its better than living here in NC. There is nothing to do down here. I would be stationed with MARINE CORPS FORCES, CENTRAL COMMAND, MacDill Air Force Base there in Tampa. If I were to take these orders I would have to sell my house, pack my things and then get my two trucks, two motorcycles, and my wifes car down there, and then I would have to find a house there. Wheeeeewwww, thats going to be a job in itself. I have to let them know if I want these orders kind of soon too, so its decision time for me. So, I have a few questions for the members that live in the Tampa area.

1) Houses - What is a good realty agency there that would be able to help me out with finding a place there?
2) ?????? - What is the housing market like there?
3) Activities - What is there to do in the area?
4) Members - What members are from the area?
5) Moving in party? - Which members would be willing to help me move my crap into my place once I get there? Ok, its worth a shot isn't it?

 

I dont know much about Tampa but I have a good friend who lives in Bradenton just a few minutes South of there and he LOVES it... its not cheap from what he says but the area cant be beat...

-Oh and BTW, you are a lucky **** to be getting stationed at MarCent.... everyone wants to go there.

Its official! I will be moving to Tampa Bay, FL sometime in August or September. Now, I have to get my house sold, and then move all my crap there!

The area is pretty nice and I know there is a big LS1 tech crowd down that way so you shouldn't have a problem getting help. Post a thread on tech, you may get a bigger response.
