a buddy of mine just bought a 9mm xd new and we finally went and shot it today. wow that 16rd clip doesnt last very long. awesome gun. shoots a lot better than a glock 9mm also a lot safer.

I briefly had a fullsize XD in 40 with the ported barrel. I traded it on a revolver not long after I acquired it though. Gun shot pretty good. I didn't like the ported barrel though. All is does is get the gun dirtier quicker with no real benefit in recoil, IMO. I think they are good guns, but since a 40 doesn't have much recoil anyways I'd stay away from a ported barrel. Just my 2 cents.

iv shot the full size 40 and 9mm. You cant go wrong buying either one of these. I like the safety a lot better than the glock. If Springfield keeps goin the way they are i think they might eventually become the issue pistol for cops instead of a glock.

well since i sold the ruger .45 im looking at a xd .45 i cant decide what i want, i know 2 guys that have a 9mm and subcompact .40, i like to be different so ima look around. I like the kimbers but damn their expensive. I was considering a desert eagle .50 but i think thats just a lot of money for a toy, and thats all it would be.
